Bio

Alessio John Matteo Da Prato - Pietrasanta - 20/12/1987


He attended the G. Minuto Professional Institute in Marina di Massa from 2001 to 2004 (Tuscany - Italy).

In 2005 he joined an intense professional culinary program in Pietrasanta where he specialized in baking and pastry.


After his studies, he began his career in the world of cuisine working in local restaurants and then landed in the United States where he had the opportunity to cook and teach for important events at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo (Florida), Eataly NYC and Chicago, Degustibus (Macy's - NYC), James Beard Foundation House, Orange Country and La cucina Italiana.


In 2022 he was hired by Heineken group and had the pleasure of working with the starred chef Viviana Varese during the dinners for “Villa Moretti” and other luxury events with her in London and Sicily.


Today Alessio works as a chef and instructor in the family run business Toscana Saporita cooking school and on commission for private and corporate events all over the world.
